Without caring mentors, positive youth development just doesn’t happen. We believe that a meaningful, quality relationship between coach and participant is vital to our program. Our success is dependent upon a community of volunteers willing to donate their time, talent and treasure. If you are interested in volunteering in any capacity please complete a Volunteer Application and submit it to Nicole Cattley at email@example.com.

We have several ways in which you can get involved:
Life Skills Class Assistant coach
Volunteer coaches assist head and lead coaches in teaching The First Tee Life Skills Experience to participants, provide positive feedback, and encourage participant behavior to help ensure a safe learning environment.
Life Skills class lead Assistant Coach
Lead assistant coaches organize and lead other volunteers in the delivery of life skills, golf skills, class set up, and procedures. They ensure that programming and activities are consistent with The First Tee Life Skills Experience.
THE FIRST TEE Head COACH
The First Tee Coaches are actively enrolled in The First Tee Coach Program and attend network training over a period of 3-4 years. An individual interested in leading classes and dedicating more than 75 hours a year to instruction should consider this avenue.
Participant Exploratory events
Help connect, plan, and deliver The First Tee exploratory events focused on helping our participants become College, Career and Community Ready.
Photography, Videography and marketing
Help us capture, document and share all that is happening at The First Tee of the Virginia Blue Ridge.
SPECIAL EVENTS VOLUNTEER
Volunteers that help with special events assist staff with fundraising events throughout the year. Support is needed with event planning, production, and follow up.
